Having some problems with excessive requests to services lately. I've asked openAI, amazon, meta and such to stop crawling my services, but unfortunately there's a lot of traffic from bot actors that are not disclosing their identities as well. This is difficult to solve as it looks to be a wide network of ip's at work. Expect occasional downtimes and especially the forums to be closed. No data is lost, it is just suspension of service that hopefully can be brought back. Sorry for broken links, trying to see what can be done!

I got a bit of a bug in my ear this week from Spotify's Release Radar. The process of maintaining my FOTM playlist has been in no small part driven by the algorithm, but exceptionally heartfelt new tracks are not something that I encounter on a weekly basis.

This week, however, was one of the better ones.

I'd never heard of Disphing before this Friday, but incentive grabbed me from the first moments and never quite let go. The songwriting talent obviously just can't be ignored. I don't like to draw too many parallels, but Disphing's approach in some ways reminds me of a couple of my lately most beloved songwriters like Adam Tell, Grabbitz and Fox Stevenson. And to put that emotional payload into a, let's be real, danceable form, is just a treat for the soul.

Disphing apparently just put out an album so help yourself to it on Spotify. In the interest of full disclosure, the highlight I chose is my own perfect favorite from the entire album. But the emotions, joy (and madness?) that Disphing is intent on sharing with the wide world seem to be on great display in just about all of the tracks on the album. So, certainly, I'll be keeping my ear to the ground for what comes in the future!

Here is a rare example of cathedral super saw being used effectively. Happy new year all!

Some things that make me feel alive, in no particular order:
- Biking to quality drum'n'bass
- Driving to quality drum'n'bass
- Dancing to quality drum'n'bass
Happy Friday world, in spite of isolation / social distancing.
